God has a plan . . . .

Last night, Nick Adenhart had his major league debut with the Anaheim Angels. He was 22 years old. He pitched 6 scoreless innings and did an awesome job. What a huge thrill this must have been for him. At around 12:20 a.m. this morning, Nick was killed by a drunk driver in Fullerton. There were two other people killed and a 4th that is in critical condition at UC Irvine. The person that caused the accident was drunk and fled the scene. He was later captured and charged with felony hit-and-run. News is just now starting to trickle out. Those of us that are Angel fans are having a hard time with this. Please keep Nick's family in your prayers.

God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes. —Revelation 7:16-17
Heavenly Father, you know how deep our grief is. We long for the touch of a hand, the sound of a voice that is stilled. You are merciful and kind. You will comfort our wounded heart. Wipe the tears from our eyes. Thank You for understanding so well our poor human hearts and for letting us lean on You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
